The All-New 2023 Honda HR-V
Redesigned 2023 Honda HR-V in Gulfport, MS
The sensible and fuel-efficient HR-V received an upgrade and redesign for the 2023 model year. Honda changed the platform, putting the 2023 HR-V atop the Civic platform, giving it a larger wheelbase than the previous generation. The 2023 HR-V has an upgraded engine, making the HR-V more fun to drive than the previous model years outfitted with the sluggish 1.8-liter four-cylinder.
The team at Pat Peck Honda is excited to show off the new HR-V to drivers around the Gulfport area. We’re confident they’ll notice the differences and appreciate the choices from Honda’s engineers. As the 2023 Honda HR-V release date has already arrived, interested buyers can see the newest HR-V on our lot in Gulfport.
What’s Under the Hood?
The 2023 Honda HR-V specs include a larger 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, like the standard engine in the Honda Civic models. The two vehicles differ as the HR-V does not have an optional turbocharged engine, but the Civic does. Honda has not added a hybrid powertrain yet, but experts predict the automaker will add one in the future.
The HR-V delivers 158 horsepower and an EPA-estimated fuel rating of 26/32 MPG when outfitted with front-wheel drive. Buyers who add all-wheel drive see a small fuel rating drop to an EPA-estimated 25/30 MPG. All HR-V models have a continuously variable automatic transmission.
Honda has taken the lead in adding driver-assistive features to all models. The 2023 HR-V models have standard Honda Sensing technology that includes a Rearview Camera, Driver Drowsiness Monitoring, Road Sign Recognition, Forward Collision Warning with Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Automatic High-Beam Headlights.
Features in the Cabin and Cargo Area
The 2023 Honda HR-V interior space has upgrades from the first generation. The LX trim comes with cloth upholstery and a 7.0-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, three USB ports, and a four-speaker audio system.
The Sport trim includes heated front seats with orange stitching, remote start, SPORT badging, and six speakers. The top EX-L trim has leather upholstery, ambient lights, a moonroof, and a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless features, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and eight speakers.
The interior seats five comfortably. With the larger platform, the HR-V has more cargo area than the outgoing model with 24.4 cubic feet with the rear seats upright. With the seats lowered, the cargo area increases to 55.1 cubic feet. Unlike the 2022 HR-V, the newest model year does not have the Magic Seat.
